Future Project
The Gompa
A gompa is a space where the Dharma can be properly received — where teachers can teach, students can practice, and the continuity of transmission is protected. Khandro Gompa plans to build such a space in Samaipata: a dedicated teaching hall, open to masters of all Tibetan Buddhist lineages.
The Vision
The Vision
The center already hosts a retreat facility for up to thirty practitioners. The gompa will complement this with a formal meeting space — ten by ten meters, built from adobe and timber in keeping with the local tradition, with a kitchen and two residential rooms for the teacher and the space-keeper. The project welcomes teachers of any Tibetan Buddhist lineage. It is not a house of one school, but a meeting place for the Dharma.
