The Lotus Stupa
The Lotus Stupa rises from a circular stone platform three meters across and one meter high — a foundation laid by hand from the stones of Samaipata. The stupa itself stands 3.25 meters tall and 2.2 meters across, its white form catching the high-altitude light of the Bolivian sky.
Origin
Origin
The stupa arose from a dream. The center's founder, Nikolai Leonov, received two visions in succession: in the first, the dakinis of Samaipata came to him; in the second, he was already building. Construction began in August 2024. On the 7th of June, 2025, Geshe Dangsong Namgyal traveled to Samaipata to perform the blessing ceremony — consecrating the stupa as a vessel of peace and the accumulation of merit for all beings in the region.

What a Stupa Is
A stupa is not an ornament. In Tibetan Buddhist understanding, it is a physical embodiment of the enlightened mind — a structure whose presence purifies the land and the minds of all who encounter it.
